Commuting with public transport

Commuting with public transport

Commuting to work in Poland is a real problem. Not every worker has his own car. People are forced to use busses and trams, which are very crowded. It’s really unpleasant to travel with them.

Every single people who has to commute with public transport knows what does it means in summer. This summer is especially hard because of enormously high temperatures. Of course summer should be sunny and hot, but this year we have enough sun. To many people are using public transportation. Buses are crowded, and everyone in them are sticky. With that temperatures it’s hard to not get wet and dirty. Even best antiperspirants won’t help. What is a solution for that situation? Should we take a shower before we take a bus and after that? Should every employer give a chance to employees use shower before they start to work? Maybe this isn’t a bad idea. Surely every employee would be grateful for more comfortable workplace.

Still this doesn’t solve problem with commuting. Some people resign of using public transport and decided for private providers, or even choose to commute to work on their own bikes or foot. On market there is many companies that provides private transportation. I live in Krakow and there is lots of services like Krakow transfers, Katowice airport transfers or Krakow airport transfers. Their offer door-to-door service which means that the will take you from your home and take you wherever you want. This is very convenient service, but not cheap for sure. If we prefer to use busses or cars with air conditioning, we have to be ready to paid more than with public transport.

For me now more important is to save money than to travel with comfortable cars to my work. But some day when I can afford that service, I will change public to private transport.
